If one could describe the ideal captain at sea, most would likely tell you of Captain Sweetsong. A caring man who prides himself and his crew on hard work and experience, Sweetsong has never been heard of taking on a man fresh to the water. He is a lover of music and carries his violin nearly everywhere he travels, giving in to any opportunity to run the bow gently against its strings and releasing the soft melodies heard within. As a man of many traits and many more stories, there is not a more respected captain on the Suvan.

His ship, The King’s Ransom, is the only pirate vessel of the rare Mizaharan Class, and for this reason he is considered the final word in all pirate matters that take place on the Suvan. His ship alone can make or break a venture, and very few have ever pressed his word and lived to talk about it. The ship itself came as a gift from the Zeltivan shipbuilders' guild in exchange for safe passage through the Suvan Sea. The agreement strictly states that no man loyal to Alexi shall ever strike at a Zeltivan ship, and he will come to their aid should he see the act take place. Thus far, the thought alone has guaranteed safe passage for those flying the proper colors.

Beyond that, little is known of the man. He has been on the sea for as long as any can remember; some even say that he was born upon a ship and never left it. Well into his prime, Captain Sweetsong often could care less about piracy in his later days; instead he searches the sea floor for ancient relics and often only pursues grand hauls, such as the rare galleon that sails through his line. Moreover, he rarely even leaves his ship, preferring the solace of his cabin and the melodies of his most prized possession. That is not to say the man is a shut-in; he simply loves the waters and chooses to stay upon them whenever possible. On the Suvan, you will not find a more loyal crew to their captain or a captain that cares better for his men.

*Mizaharan Class (160 T. Cargo 12 Light Mounts, 4 Heavy Mount)

-
Another product from Zeltiva, the Mizaharan is the epitome of naval dominance. It combines a large cargo capacity with sturdy construction and vast weapon potential and maneuverability. Only a small number have been built and the majority of those are found in service to the Zeltivian Navy and a couple so-called, Merchant Princes. Only Zeltiva currently possesses the knowledge and ability to build such vessels. Supports 12 light and four heavy mounts. Crew: 200, Passengers: 60

*1x Diving Bell (1 Heavy Mount)

-
A Zeltivian shipyard invention, the diving bell is a sturdy weighted barrel or sphere of wood and iron, fitted with several thick glass portholes. It can hold up to two people. The bell descends on a stout cable from the ship above, and can’t move horizontally—it can only ascend or descend. The bell can descend to a maximum depth of 200 feet.

-
The bottom can be left open to allow a diver to easily enter or exit. An open bell however can only descend to 100 feet. Comes with it's own mooring and a crude hand-powered air pump and waterproofed hose of canvas or leather to provide fresh air to the bell. It takes 2 crewmembers to work the pumps, and 4 crewmembers to operate the winch to raise or lower the bell.

-

-
The bell itself weighs 1,000 pounds. Requires a heavy mount but includes the air pump, hoist, and bell

*2x Great Bombard (1 Heavy Mount)

-
Similar to but larger than the light bombard, it fires a heavy stone ball with a modest charge of powder. Capable of doing immense damage to targets. Requires 8 people to operate and weighs 2,000lbs.

-

-
*1x Catapult (1 Heavy Mount)

-
Catapults hurl stones at enemies, and, because of their function, must be mounted on an open deck and require a target to be at a range of at least 100 feet to be effective. Although capable of doing a lot of damage, catapults are slow to fire and take longer to load than bombards. Requires 2 people to operate and weighs 2,000 lbs.

-

-
*8x Ballista (8 Light Mounts)

-
A huge, heavy crossbow weighing around 400lbs. Mainly useful in damaging sails or enemy crew. When a bolt is lit on fire however, greater damage is possible.

-

-
*4x Light Bombard (4 Light Mounts)

-
An iron tube mounted on a ship, it is a relatively short and light piece designed to fire a round stone shot with small charges of powder. Capable of doing quite a bit of damage to a target. Requires 4 people to operate and weighs 500lbs.
