The middleman of their society, Chiet are identified by their altogether mundane level of skills and mental ability. They are smart and fit enough to keep from falling into the Dek caste, but have otherwise no outstanding skills that would elevate them to Avora. They are often, like Yasi, considered the most driven of the four adult castes as well as the most greedy for Chiet want wealth and notoriety of Avora and Endal and will do nearly anything to obtain it. A Chiet's skill set can range anywhere from the basic fisherman to a cook, from a nurse to a bird keeper. They are, by and large, a typical Commoner.

Mentality
Chiet do not get to enjoy the same wealth that Avora and Endal do; they make enough each season to get them through with a little to spare on the side. As such, this often affects their outlook on the rest of the realm, feeling that it is their right to share in the bounties of the upper caste members. A chiet commonly works alongside certain craftsmen which only fuels their desire for advancement. It also enables them to improve and show off their acquired skills to the Avora. This greed does not commonly flare against upper caste members; it does, however, make individuals feel entitled to bullying Dek, venting their own frustrations of ranking upon the less fortunate.
Housing
Housing for Chiet is simple. Like Avora, Commoners live in the Darniva Common Rooms in a single room cave with a twin bed, two drawer dresser, one chair table, coat hooks, and four shelf bookcase. Any other amenities must be purchased. These caves are not available for expansion; furthermore, there are no Chiet Family units.
Seasonal vs. Annual
Because of the two primary locations of work Chiet may serve in, there is a distinction made in the jobs they have. Some positions are strictly seasonal, requiring individuals to return to the Valintar at the end of that jobs season for job reassignment. Other positions allow for work the entire year. For example, many of the Thunder Bay workers are purely seasonal and must return to the city when the Bay freezes for reassignment. Usually, these members will fall into roles in related work, such as the Kitchens, Craft Gallery, or Aeries, but occasionally, individuals will be required to work in a position that doesn't always focus on their accomplished skills.
