Raindancing is Makutsi's Gnosis gift. As the goddess of rain and water, Makutsi will grant Gnosis marks that allow those who receive them to bring the rain... although how much and how well they can control it does depend the number of Gnosis marks that they have. Those who are given marks by Makutsi are called Raindancers.

She cannot be bothered to issue Negative Gnosis marks, simply in that when Makutsi rages it's fast and furious - retaliate and go on with it. Life's too short for grudges. Even if you're a goddess.

Mechanics

Makutsi likes to spend time with her followers and pays attention to them, helping out those who have proven themselves to her. She is challenging, though, and demands that they prove their mettle to her. Marks are not given out indiscriminately, but go to dedicated followers. She has, on more than one occasion, selected those whom she will grant the gift of Raindancing to from the Myrian rain festival and the enormous obstacle course that is set up and ran then. But for those that cannot get there, she will give out personal and highly variable challenges. If they succeed in these challenges, she will usually grant them a Gnosis mark.

Raindancing is not an instantaneous Gnosis, despite however much as Makutsi might like it to have been. Instead, one performs it, and then soon after, the rains will come. Sometimes they come immediately, sometimes they take a little longer. But the rains do come. Each Raindancer's dance is usually unique to that Raindancer, and is not something that can be passed along. Each Raindancer learns the dance from the goddess herself, and where they take it from there makes it their own. Even though the Rain Dance is often affected by cultural tendencies, a group of Raindancers dancing in unison can be a truly beautiful sight.

Introduce the Gnosis, talk about how the god/dess relates to the person, and how the power manifests.
