There is immense variation between each and every pod, as is to be expected from a wildly independent race like the Svefra. Starting a Pod is relatively simple, but can only be done by a female Svefra. They must meditate and pray to Laviku for his blessing, which comes in the form of a "Pardisa". What the Pardisa is differs in every pod; but oftentimes the Pardisa is a living creature, becoming something akin to a Tavan to the new Lia.

They are my brothers and sisters of the ocean. We mourn, we celebrate, we live - together.

As a part of their social structure, the Svefra are divided into tightly-knit groups known as Svefra Pods. A pod consists of a matriarchal leader called as the Lia and her children, as well as the children of her female descendants. Males are free to move between pods to follow a particular individual/mate, while females more or less stay with their pods at all times.

Svefra Pods are tightly-knit groups were all the members are forced by sheer necessity to trust one another explicitly. Shipwrecks, ocean animals, and land-dwellers can also pose a threat to their lives, and thus the svefra of a pod must always watch one another's back.

There is immense variation between each and every pod, as is to be expected from a wildly independent race like the Svefra. While an untrained observer might see one pod and think all pods are like that one example, encountering one or more of these pods will quickly erase that thought from their minds. Each pod is unique. One thing all pods seem to share, however, is an intense love for the ocean and a footloose attitude towards life.

Active Svefra Pods

Below is a list of all currently active Svefra Pods. Each Pod will be listed in alphabetical order. Each listing must include the name of the Pod, the name of the Lia, a description, all PC members, and whether or not the Pod wants new players to join the Pod. A link to the starting member of the Pod or a Plotnotes thread is also required.

Svefra Pods - Listed by Alphabetical Order
Baggywinkle PodLed by Lia Sable: Struck by tragedy early, this small Pod lost its two senior members at sea, leaving Sable and Sirroco to struggle along alone. With the dangers of the Suvan and the crippling effects of losing their loved ones, they seek to rejoin the Pod they hailed from, the Tempests. PCs: Sable Baggywinkle, Sirroco Baggywinkle. Accepting New Members?: Yes, PM if interested.
Moontide PodLed by Lia Alaza: A newer pod forged from survivors of older pods, the Moontide pod quickly rose to one of the greater pods on the Suvan. A pod of morphers and easy-living Svefra. PCs: Risa Moontide. Accepting New Members?: Yes, PM if interested.
Waveraider PodLed by Lia Mora: The Waveraiders take their name from what they do best. They have learned the waterways off the coast of Eastern Sylira, and have been one of the main reason why merchant ships hire protection. They raid frequently the ships that cross their paths, taking what they want and then letting the survivors go on their way with whatever they leave behind. Because of their activities, it is not a surprise that they are disliked, even more so then other Svefra, among the eastern Sylira coastal cities where trade flows. PCs: Ezriel, Talal. Accepting New Members?: Yes, PM if interested.
