Welcome to Mizahar!
Mizahar is a dedicated, friendly, and free community of fantasy roleplayers that gather to spin epic level tales in a truly unique fantasy setting via collaborative storytelling. As a member, a person is allowed to create one or more characters to explore the world of Mizahar. Players can wander various regions exploring cities and exotic locations, meeting other characters, enjoying adventures while fighting to survive in a world that is not always accommodating or safe. One can serve dark Gods and carry out heinous deeds, or serve the light and try to restore order to an otherwise chaotic world. Players can learn skills, develop magical abilities, lead armies, fall in love and marry, have children, and own businesses. Mizahar emphasizes writing style, and is a community composed of writers, artists, musicians, all drawn together for the love of a very simple concept: a good story. There are no limits to what you can do with the game world itself, nor the impact you can have here. Just one single individual can make a difference, carving out a new niche for themselves, starting new organizations, founding Religions, and raising armies. Each person brings something unique and interesting to the game world when they join.
The Game World
Mizahar is the name given to a continent on the northern hemisphere of a planet orbiting a single sun. This continent was once the home of a vast and advanced civilization, until a divine cataclysm known as the Valterrian reshaped the continent and killed most of the inhabitants.
Now, some five centuries afterward, Mizahar is at a pivotal point. In the city of Syliras, a group of knights seeking to restore order to the world have made their headquarters -- but they are not the only ones with an agenda. A dizzying range of peoples, tribes, and organizations also seek to make their mark, from the savage Myrian warriors to the anarchists of Sunberth to the wandering tribes of Eyktol and the undead wizards of Sahova, as well as many, many others, with competing goals, philosophies, and religions.
